The First Bangalow Flea Market
What an amazing week!
Saturday the 12th of September was the day of our first market and we're so happy with how successful it was!
The weather leading up to Saturday wasn't looking great. We were constantly checking the weather hoping that it would change as Bangalow was forecast for a downpour. Luckily enough on Friday morning, we checked the weather for what seemed like the 100th time and somehow our luck had changed! The forecast reported that all we had to be prepared for was a light spot of rain at 8am and the rest of the day would be clear. Full steam ahead!
As the morning of the market rolled on, the day did indeed seem to get increasingly sunnier (much to our delight!). It was busy, stalls were packed and all of our lovely stallholders seemed happy. Customers had driven to the Flea Market from all around the Northern Rivers area: Byron Bay; Ballina; Lismore; Suffolk Park; Lennox Head; Mullumbimby; Brunswick Heads; Ocean Shores and beyond. Everyone seemed to find something they liked, whether it be from a designer stall, garage sale stall or the food van. We couldn't have hoped for better.
Thank you to everyone who joined us to celebrate our first ever Bangalow Flea Market and support local families and businesses. We hope to see you at our next one - Saturday October 10th.
